Situated on Yas Island, just off the coast of Abu Dhabi, Yas Marina Circuit is a short drive from the capital city of the UAE and adjacent to the international airport.

Yas Marina Circuit is unique. It is the only circuit in the world where a 500 bedroom, 5-star hotel actually straddles the track! The Yas Hotel guests will have access to the Paddock via a purpose-built footbridge and their own entrance to the circuit.

From November 2010 it will be the venue for the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, the climax of the World Championship season.

Plans for the circuit have met with acclaim from the management and drivers in Formula One. Former World Champion Kimi Raikkonen has been given a tour of the site and is excited about the prospect of racing on the new track.
Former Red Bull driver David Coulthard saw the circuit model at the Chinese Grand Prix in Shanghai: “Wow!” he said, “I wish I wasn’t retiring!”
The President and CEO of Formula One Group, Bernie Ecclestone said: “From the start of this project we were in no doubt that F1 in Abu Dhabi would be something different, something special - the original plans have evolved almost beyond recognition, and we are very pleased with the results.”

The 2010 Formula 1™ Etihad Airways Grand Prix be the first race ever held at Yas Marina Circuit and also the last race of the 2010 Formula 1™ season. Let’s hope that, as in the past two years, the championship will be decided in the final race…this time in Abu Dhabi!
